Ice Competition Watch

Who else is working the highsec ice systems — an hourly ESI sample of gate traffic and NPC kills (miners and mission runners shoot the rats that spawn on them). Kill data finds gankers; this finds competitors like resident mining fleets that never appear on a killboard. All hours shown in EVE time (UTC).

Daily rhythm — NPC kills by hour of day

Each row a system, each cell the average NPC kills in that EVE hour (trailing 5 weeks). Brighter = more PvE activity = more likely someone is working the system. Reference rows (mission hubs) are marked ‡ for scale. Hover for detail, including average gate jumps.

Weekly rhythm — one system, day of week × hour

Does the competition mine on a schedule? Pick a system to see its EVE week grid (trailing 5 weeks of samples): a resident fleet shows as a recurring band, a one-off visitor as a stray hot cell.

Monthly view — activity by day

Average NPC kills per hour for each EVE calendar day, last 30 days. Shows trends the daily-rhythm view averages away: a fleet moving in or out, weekend-only miners, systems going quiet.

Sampled hourly from ESI /universe/system_kills/ and /universe/system_jumps/ by a cron job on the web server; this page reads the live aggregate, so it updates without a site rebuild. Hour and weekday averages use a trailing 35-day window. Caveats: NPC kills conflate miners, ratters, and mission runners; a miner who ignores belt rats is invisible; cells with no samples yet show hollow.
